Deputy Manager

Health Opportunities Team are a charity working to improve the emotional and sexual health of young people in Edinburgh. We are looking for a skilled Deputy Manager to support delivery of sexual/mental health services for young people in Edinburgh.

Pay Scale: £29,528 – £31,160, 5 days (35.75 hours) a week, with potential for some evening work.

  • Do you have experience of supervising therapeutic workers?
  • Do you have a proven track record of coordinating delivery of services?
  • Do you have proven track record of providing high quality therapeutic 1-1 and group work with young people?
  • Do you have a proven track record of delivering sexual health and emotional wellbeing programmes and drop-ins?

Office Manager

Health Opportunities Team are a voluntary sector agency working to improve the social, emotional and sexual health of young people (aged 12-25) in the Portobello/Craigmillar and Liberton/Gilmerton areas of Edinburgh.

We are looking for a skilled Office Manager to support Health Opportunities Team services by ensuring that the financial, evaluation and administrative needs of the service are met.

Pay Scale:  £25,404 – £27,033

Full-time, 35.75 hours a week (including attendance at evening Board meetings every two months).

  • Do you have proven track record of carrying out high quality financial work using Sage 50 to ensure effective financial management of the Service?
  • Can you undertake monthly bank reconciliation and ensure timely payment of all invoices and acting as a signatory for online banking?
  • Do you have experience with Survey Monkey?
  • Do you have good attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines?
  • Do you have energy and commitment?
  • Are you up for the challenge of working in a busy office to help us support vulnerable young people?
  • Are you a dynamic and creative team player?

Project Worker (5 days)

Substance Use Project Worker

We are looking for a skilled Project Worker to deliver our Substance Use Project, providing therapeutic 1-1 support and group work sessions to young people in the South East Locality of Edinburgh, who are experiencing difficulties as a result of their own or their parent’s substance misuse.

Pay Scale:  £24,459 – £26,235

Full-time 35.75 hours (may include some evening work).

  • Do you have proven track record of providing high quality therapeutic 1-1 and group work with young people, around issues of substance misuse?
  • Do you have experience in delivering training to professionals around issues of substance misuse?
  • Are you passionate about working with young people?
  • Do you have energy and commitment?
  • Are you up for the challenge of working with vulnerable young people?
  • Do you think you can gain the respect and co-operation of groups of teenagers in a variety of settings?
  • Do you have an interest in emotional/sexual/social health and risk taking behaviour?
