Information for Referrers
Health Opportunities Team can offer one-to-one support to young people between the ages of 12 and 25 who live in the Craigmillar/Portobello and Liberton/Gilmerton areas of Edinburgh.
We also offer one-to-one support as part of our Substance Use project within some schools in South West Edinburgh. Additionally, we can sell our services to schools or privately – please get in touch if you would like more information.
Health Opportunities Team One-to-One support aims to help young people to learn strategies to cope with their difficult feelings. Our programmes are most effective when supported by parents/carers or by agencies and workers who are involved in the young person’s life.
Our programmes cannot ‘fix’ all the problems faced by a young person but they can help the young person find ways to make positive changes when they are ready to.
